General

The Fender American Standard Stratocaster (Ocean Blue Metallic, rosewood fretboard) is a prime example of what we like to call, a genuine Strat. Its the most famous Fender electric guitar model, not made in Mexico or China, but built in the U.S. of A. assuring you of professional quality and familiar specs. Naturally, Fender have occasionally adapted their most popular models since the fifties, to keep them up-to-date and maximise playing comfort and reliability. This is one of the most appealing results, sporting a stylish blue lacquer and, for a slightly darker sound than the maple version, a rosewood fretboard. It comes with a luxury guitar case, a cable, a guitar strap and a polishing cloth.

American Standard Strat OBM RW: vintage pickups

The American Standard Stratocaster OBM RW is the proud home to a trio of Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups. For starters, these high-quality single-coil pickups - fitted with alnico V magnets - produce the crystal-clear, fat vintage Strat sound. These modern versions are also capable of creating more powerful bass sounds and softer mids. If you turn the 5-way pickup switch to one of the inbetween positions, you'll immediately notice that these are free of hum, thanks to the reverse-wound middle pickup. To stay in theme with the vintage sound, the pickup covers and knobs are made to look weathered.

Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
