Fender have included the Jazzmaster in the premium American Ultra series. Now, all off-set guitar enthusiasts will also get to enjoy the modern upgrades the Ultra Series guitars have been blessed with. The first thing to strike you is likely to be the satin-gloss finished neck with a modern D-profile and rounded fretboard edges giving you unmatched playing comfort, all the way up to the highest frets thanks to the specially rounded heel at the pocket. The compound radius fretboard features 22 medium frets and gradually increases from 10 to 14 inches for supple and solid rhythm playing.
American Ultra Jazzmaster: Fair game for your frettin' hand
This Jazzmaster's body plays a large part in how comfortable this solid-body is to play. The bottom cutaway has extra space on the backside, so your fret hand has all the mobility it could ask for. Add to that the belly-cut and you can be sure you'll make quick friends with this piece of American musical machinery. Naturally, the Jazzmaster comes complete with a luxurious, hard-shell case that provides ultimate protection during transportation.
Ultra Noiseless Vintage Pickups & S-1 Switch
The second you plug it in, you'll hear all the benefits the original Fender electronics have to offer. As with all the models in the series, this off-set has been equipped with the latest generation of Noiseless pickups. These deliver that characteristic, sparkling single-coil sound without any annoying humming and buzzing while you can pop the S-1 switch to switch from parallel to series when the 3-way switch is in the middle position for a humbucker-style sound. The phase circuit above the neck pickup lets you further fine-tune these 'in-between' sounds to your own taste.
