General
Fender's Classic Player Jazzmaster Special PF combines all the advantages of a modern offset electric guitar with the characteristics of a vintage solid-body. The vintage-style tremolo, for instance, has been placed slightly closer to the Adjusto-Matic bridge so that the strings run over it at a sharper angle, which means they'll stay firmly in the saddles no matter how wild you get with the tremolo arm or your attack. Better still, the tuning stability is improved too. Fender have also included a gig bag with this Mexican Jazzmaster Special.
Classic Player Jazzmaster Special PF
The Special Design Hot single-coil pickups have slightly more output, giving this Jazzmaster's sound a modern twist. Other features like the lead-rhythm circuit remain intact, meaning that each pickup has its own volume and tone controls. All of this gives the Classic Player Jazzmaster Special a versatile sound that's suitable for playing music from different genres. Finally, Fender has chosen pau ferro for the fretboard on this guitar. It's not only similar in characteristics to rosewood, it's more environmentally-friendly too.
