Since the 1950's, Fender's Stratocaster has undergone a number of transformations. In the '50s, the necks on these models were made out of one piece of maple and in the '60s, a rosewood fretboard was added. More recently, the regulations around rosewood have been tightened to make it more sustainable, which is why this model has a fretboard made of pau ferro. It has similar characteristics to rosewood, which means this Classic Series '60s Strat 3-Color Sunburst has an authentic sound, look and feel.
Classic Series '60s Stratocaster
This Strat has an alder body with a lively sound that is delivered to your amplifier via three vintage-style single-coil pickups. The relatively round 7.25-inch fretboard radius and 21 vintage frets further enhance its '60s credentials. The finish on the body has been given an aged look, as have the knobs and 5-way pickup switch. So, if you're looking for a Strat with a '60s sound, look and feel, then Fender's Classic Series '60s Strat 3CSB PF is exactly what you're after.
