General
Taking the 24 inch offset classic and piling on some modern goodies, the Fender Player II Jaguar has been upgraded on every level. While the singular, throwback body shape is retained, the playing comfort has been given a contemporary boost, thanks in part to the Modern-C profile of the bolt-on maple neck, which has been given a buttery coat of satin-gloss to ease passage all way from the nut to the body.
The Fender Player II Jaguar: Smooth Playing, Sonic Power
To really keep things smooth, the slightly flatter 9.5 inch radius of the slab rosewood fretboard and the full pack of twenty-two, slightly bigger medium-jumbo frets assure your fret hand of a lighter workload. The snug feel of the solid body has also been enhanced by a deep belly contour and, since the body has been carved from alder wood, the sonic foundation is packed with balanced warmth and power.
Unmistakable Jaguar Sound
Sticking close to the tried-and-tested Jaguar recipe while upping the versatility, this Player II edition is voiced by a pair of exclusive Fender Player Series Jaguar Single-Coils pickups. The Alnico II variant at the neck pulls out sweet and round tone framed by crystalline trebles while the Alnico V variant at the bridge boasts boosted output and definition. The mounted Vintage-Style Floating Tremolo tailpiece supports subtle vibrato effects without fear of dropping tune and, to really firm up the stability, the Jaguar bridge has been loaded with a set of Mustang saddles and the headstock has been polished off with ClassicGear machine heads - all to complete a forward-thinking and reliable Jag.
