General

The Fender Player Plus Stratocaster features everything needed for a modern level of playability as well the gigantic tonal range of three newly-developed Noiseless™ pickups that pack a bright and balanced foundation sound. Via the push/pull switch of the second tone pot, you can add the neck pickup to positions 1 and 2 of the 5-way switch for even richer tone and, as a sweet bonus, this genuine Fender axe comes with a deluxe gig bag thrown in.

The Player Plus Stratocaster: Focussed on Comfort

While Fender typically grace guitars with a 9.5" fretboard radius, this fresh model has a flatter 12" radius that combines with 22 medium jumbo frets for unrestricted playing comfort and easy pitch bends. Also, the maple neck sports a snug Modern C-profile and rounded fretboard edges for a smooth feel, asserting the fact that this Strat is made for all-night playing sessions.

High-Grade Build

It's worth knowing that Fender have far from skimped on crucial parts like the bridge and machine heads. Quite the opposite, since the Player Plus Stratocaster comes fitted with a high-quality, two-point synchronised tremolo bridge fitted with steel block saddles that keep the tuning in check while you unleash all kinds of vibrato effects. At the same time, the Deluxe Locking tuners make swapping out worn-down strings child's play, finishing a Fender-grade workhorse you can rely on - whether in the studio or on stage.

Fender Player Plus Stratocaster MN Olympic Pearl Electric Guitar with Deluxe Gig Bag

Wrote the following about Fender Player Plus Stratocaster MN Olympic Pearl Electric Guitar with Deluxe Gig Bag
I absolutely love this guitar. I spent a good deal of time playing both this and and the American professional ii side by side in a local showroom, comparing the two. I honestly prefer the player plus. I preferred the sound of the pickups, I know people sniff at noisless pickups but they sound great. I mainly play slightly overdriven for blues and clean for funk/r&b type things- yes the noiseless pickups have a very slightly compressed sound, but I don't see that as a negative, I love the sound. Very funky.
The neck- I cannot overstate how great this neck feels. Really silky finish, non of that sticky feeling you get from a gloss finish and the rolled frets are a lovely touch.
The case is a nice bonus, it's a good quality but fairly basic gig bag- I prefer my old gator case so I'll probably hand this on to my son.

One thing I would flag up- this guitar had had no set-up, the intonation was way out. This is a very easy fix with a screwdriver and there are loads of YouTube vids on how to do it if you don't know.
I was planning to switch strings to 10s so was expecting to do this anyway but best to be prepared. It was £125 cheaper here than my local shop (a massive uk on-line supplier so I don't feel guilty not buying local!) I figure the £125 saving was well worth the faff. Postage/dispatch was quick, good price for a good product
