To get the Fender Player Plus Telecaster, you have to mash the traditional up with the modern. Classic looks meet slick and agile, contemporary playability in the flatter 12 inch fretboard radius and a lightly widened nut; the rounded fretboard edges and set of 22 medium frets; and the satin-gloss that coats the back of the neck. The elevated Fender Player Plus Telecaster comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.
The Player Plus Telecaster: Noiseless Single-Coils
While already notorious for its tonal flexibility, this fully pumped-up Player Plus edition Telecaster takes things that bit further. So, the alder body comes armed with a pair of Noiseless™ Tele® pickups that deliver that familiar warm twang without any of the buzz and hum that usually comes with it, and on top of that, the push/pull tone pot can be popped out to shift these next-gen singe-coils into series and inject the output with more power and body. Meanwhile, the fixed bridge and six adjustable saddles lay on a bright accent while supporting accurate intonation, and have been teamed up with a full set of locking machine heads for maximum tuning stability.

Door de 12 inch radius speelt deze Telecaster geweldig makkelijk. Door de locking tuners is de gitaar bijzonder stemvast. De noiseless elementjes articuleren bijzonder goed. De tone-knop kan hier en daar best een beetje dicht. Push-pull op de tone-knop biedt een waanzinnig mooie (boost) sound.
De afstelling vanaf de fabriek was voor mij helemaal OKE, maar dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk. Action precies goed en zuiver geintoneerd.
Al met al, denk ik, een gitaar die weinig onderdoet voor de USA 'Ultra'-serie. (Het Fender-logo is zelfs het logo in metal-kleur, dat ook op de 'Ultra' zit) Die 'Ultra' is dubbel zo duur als deze Player Plus en dit speelt al fantastisch. Een hele mooie, maar vooral plezierige en muzikale gitaar. Eigenlijk een ULTRA, maar dan uit Mexico. En geloof me, daar bouwen ze tegenwoordig fantastische gitaren.
