The Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster 3-Color Sunburst PF is an electric guitar with character. It's part of Fender's Road Worn series and it has an authentic aged look thanks to the 'wear' in its nitrocellulose lacquer and signs of 'oxidisation' on its metal parts.

This Strat has a sound to match its aged look thanks to its alder body, maple neck and pau ferro fretboard that combine to produce a lively well-balanced tone with brightness and warmth. Wrote the following about Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster 3-Color Sunburst PF

Fantastische gitaar voor als je van de stevige blues van SRV houdt. En een absolute beauty om in je huiskamer te hebben staan.

De Road Worn finish op deze gitaar vind ik erg goed gedaan. Andere merken geven hun gitaren ook nog wel eens een relic finish, maar dat is soms niet zo compleet als deze. Ze hebben de tuners, slagplaat, nek, brug, backplate allemaal meegenomen in deze finish. Daarnaast vind ik hem ook fijner spelen doordat er een schuurpapiertje langs de hals is gehaald. Vind ik veel fijner spelen dan de gelakte nek op sommige Fenders.

Ik ben er trots op, maar aangezien een gitaar echt iets persoonlijks is zou ik altijd aanraden om zelf een gitaar te gaan bespelen voor je hem koopt. Wat voor de een perfect is, kan voor de ander een no go zijn.

Since the beginning of this year, rosewood has been subject to certain regulations introduced by CITES. Fender have taken this as an opportunity to replace rosewood with pau ferro on their new Mexican models.
