General

The best way to describe this black Stratocaster is to say it is a multi-functional guitar that is capable of producing many different tones. As it's made in Mexico, it won't cost you a fortune and yet it packs the same looks and sound as its American brethren. Moreover, this guitar is equipped with two humbuckers and a single-coil that are ready for virtually anything!

Fender Mexican Standard Stratocaster HSH RW BLK: a different sound for every occasion

Like others of its kind, this Stratocaster features an alder body, a wood type that produces a balanced tone without over-emphasising a particular frequency range. That then allows you to determine the eventual sound with the pickups. Use the outer positions of the 5-way pickup switch to use the humbuckers as humbuckers and the inner three to use them as single-coils, making this guitar suitable for many different types of music!

Electronics and hardware

As we may expect from a Strat, this guitar also has a classic tremolo bridge that allows you to easily implement subtle tone bends into your playing. Two tone knobs subsequently allow you to adjust the tone to your liking and the 5-way pickup switch lets you select the desired pickup configuration. Naturally a volume control is also present, allowing for subtle tone alterations - just like on other guitars with passive electronics. The chrome-plated hardware is the cherry on top!

Fender Standard Stratocaster HSH RW Black

Wrote the following about Fender Standard Stratocaster HSH RW Black
Hi, I am just a novice and decided on this hsh strat as I was looking for a guitar that would make a good all rounder. This fender suits the bill thanks to the many permetations that 2 humbucker and single coil pick ups can create, plus coil tap too. I had an old squier strat kicking around for years that never kept tune etc, and I have been overwhelmed by the sound and build quality of my new standard strat. I know it is made in Mexico, but I couldn't afford to part with price of an American made one. This guitar will outplay my abilities, and it sounds fabulous through my marshall code 25 amp. I love it and practice on it every day, and hopefully will continue to improve my skills even at 50 years old! Anyone looking for a strat at a great price should buy one, they're fab.
