General

This '70s Stratocaster from Fender's Vintera series is made in their Mexican factory in Ensenada which means they can offer this model at a more attractive price than one made in America, for example. It has a vintage look, sound and feel with features like the 3 bolts that attach the neck to the body and the larger headstock being authentic design details. Naturally, you also get all of the advantages that come with owning a brand new electric guitar, like modern construction, for instance.

Vintera '70s Stratocaster: classic Seventies Strat sounds

Three vintage-style '70s single-coil Strat pickups, along with the 5-way pickup switch and volume and tone potentiometers, give you a wide range of classic Seventies Strat sounds. There's also a vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge that allows you to add vibrato effects to your playing without going out of tune. The Vintage F Stamped machine heads are another authentic feature on this fantastic Fender.

Fender Vintera 70s Stratocaster Mocha MN with gig bag

Wrote the following about Fender Vintera 70s Stratocaster Mocha MN with gig bag
One of the main reasons that I bought this MIM stratocaster was to look for a guitar where I could change the pickups and electronics, so the base price needed to be relatively low.
After receiving the guitar I spend a couple of hours setting it up to my liking which was not an issue. The neck was well finished and overall the guitar had no flaws. I did change the strings to 010-046 and had to add two strings to the tremolo bridge. In general this guitar does not keep tune well when tremolo is heavily used at least this has been my experience. Tuners are acceptable, but not great.
After a couple of weeks I did change the original pick-ups by a set of Heartbreaker (Cherry Vegas) pickups from Belgium and for the electronics I got an Emerson Custom 5-way Stratocaster blending kit.
Guitar now sounds and plays wonderful and I am happy with my purchase.
