The level of versatility offered by the TE thinline Fret-King Country Squire Semitone De Luxe is not something you come across that often. This semi-hollowbody is voiced by an HSH pickup configuration, where a Powertwin hot humbucker at the bridge brings the muscle and an Alnico V Focusfield mini-double-coil at the neck brings balanced and focused tonal variation and, sandwiched between, you get the hot growl of a Dallas Special single-coil. Unique to most TE models, the Country Squire has also been kitted out with a Wilkinson WVT hybrid vibrato bridge, supporting a familiar feel and solid foundation as well as some sweet and subtle note bends.

Boosting the flexibility, this model features a 5-way pickup selector, giving you an extra four reinforced voicings that can be customised as preferred via the smart concentric tone pot. Besides being able to adjust the light and darkness of the output, the dual-coil drive of the humbuckers can be dialled back to single-coil sound, keeping things ultra-variable. As such, you could see the Country Squire as a few guitars in one and, since it's going to need to handle a little abuse, it's been fitted with a set of stable EZ Lock tuners.
