General
Gretsch's G6131-MY is a Malcolm Young Signature Jet model made for fans of the late AC/DC founder and rhythm guitarist. It has an authentic look and sound delivered by a single TV Jones Power’Tron humbucker.
Authentic
To make this Signature model as close to Malcolm's own instrument as possible, and since he had removed them from his own guita, himself, Gretsch has included vacant pickup cavities at the middle and neck positions. This attention to detail doesn't stop there: they've even simulated the screw holes! Other authentic features include the chrome switch plugs, the Space-Control bridge, the '60s-style tailpiece and the Schaller machine heads.
TV Jones Power’Tron
You'll quickly discover that the single TV Jones Power'Tron humbucker pickup is more than enough to get that characteristic wall of sound out your favourite medium or high gain amplifier. The G6131-MY comes complete with a deluxe G6238 hardshell case so that you can get it safely to and from rehearsals and performances.
