As part of the Professional Collection, the Gretsch G6228 Players Edition Jet BT is a pure display of guitar-building mastery. The chambered mahogany body of this Japanese-made electric guitar measures 4.69cm thick and has been topped with maple to produce a tone with a beautifully present and balanced midrange, and provide an immediately refined foundation sound. Amplified, the Jet is able to span a plethora of possible tonal profiles using the extensive set of mounted controls. This mouthwatering instrument naturally comes complete with a luxury-grade case.
The G6228 Players Edition Jet: Piloted by Broad 'Trons
Pickup-guru, Tim Shaw is solely responsible for the mounted set of newly designed Broad'Tron BT65 pickups, and this pair of passive humbuckers have been specifically made to suit the particular sonic palette of the G6288 by shaping a muscular and potent midrange, a cosy and warm low-end, and a shimmering and transparent high-end. The playability has as much luxurious presence as the sound, since the rosewood fretboard has an incredibly snug feeling 12-inch radius and 22 medium frets. High-grade components like the Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh locking machine heads provide the unshakeable tuning stability and pure intonation you would only expect of an instrument at this level.
