To provide a worthy voice for Josh Smith's unique blend of blues, jazz, and rock, the master guitarist has buddied up with Ibanez to deliver the very special, TE-styled Signature FLATV1. While this single-cut solid-body may look familiar, some significant tweaks have been made to support enhanced playability and sound. The alder body provides a trusty foundation in terms of both sound and feel, especially combined with the FLATV profile of the super-stable S-Tech Roasted neck which, just to make sure of the smoothest possible ride, has been finished with oil and topped with a sweet, vintage-round fretboard radius.

The Gotoh F1803 bridge has been loaded with three In-Tune saddles to ensure that this bonafide twang-machine retains flawless intonation and feels comfortable beneath the right hand. The tuning has the full support of vintage-style machine heads designed by the Japanese master-builders themselves, and to nail that all-important tonal flexibility, this signature model has been loaded with a pair of specially developed Seymour Duncan FLATV1 Custom single-coils. Coupled up with the classic control section, and unleash a full and tight Alnico response from the bridge pickup, and a classic, cream-filled bite from the neck pickup.
