With the GRX40 from their Gio Series, Ibanez offer an outstanding introductory model for new students. The HSS pickup configuration is formed by a humbucker mounted at the bridge and two single-coil pickups mounted in the middle and at the neck. Combined with the foundation sound offered by the solid poplar body, this guitar is designed for versatile, experiment-ready tone, all the way from warm clean sounds to full and solid rock. To add individual nuance, a set of fuss-free volume and tone controls and a tremolo arm are included.

The Gio GRX40: Great Playing Comfort

Since playing comfort is an absolute must, whatever your skill level, Ibanez have struck a delicate balance with this guitar. The neck has a jatoba fretboard shaped with a modern 12-inch fretboard-radius so it's neither too rounded nor too flat. 22 medium frets are fitted so that chords are easily grabbed and solos effortlessly nailed while the 42mm wide string-nut at the top of the neck is a little slimmer than standard so that smaller hands can comfortably wrap themselves around the neck of this highly thoughtful beginner guitar.
