Wrote the following about Ibanez GRG7221QA-TKS Gio Transparent Black Sunburst 7-string
For the money you can't fault this instrument. The finish is excellent, the frets and set up are great straight out of the box. All it required was a quick tune up and it was ready to go - even the intonation was properly done! Some may pick faults with the pickups but being really honest a quick tweak of the modelling software you're using and you'll get some fine tones out of this thing. Djent? Check! Doom? Check! Death metal? Check! Speed/thrash metal? Check! Metalcore? Black metal? Check! Blackened symphonic progressive melodeath?Check! You get the picture? It's all there. If you wanna sound like Stevie Ray Vaughan or Alvin Lee you've come to the wrong place but for rock and all kinds of metal you'll be well served. It's good enough for future upgrades to be worthwhile. My son, who I bought this for and who has been playing for around 3 years, absolutely loves this guitar - I've been playing for over 35 years and I love it too! Highly recommend. Great bang for buck.
