DiMarzio Evolution: The sound of Vai
The DiMarzio Evolution pickups were designed exclusively by Vai and are responsible for the magnificent sound of the JEM70V. The sound of this extremely rare guitar is nothing like that of other guitars. Because it's made of neutral-sounding bass wood, the pickups will eventually colour the tone. Vai wanted screaming killer pickups when the volume was fully open and a crystal clear and clean sound as the volume was gradually turned down.
