Built in Japan using the best materials available, this certified shredder has an African mahogany body decorated with a transparent lacquered ash top that combines with the maple and wenge hybrid neck and African ebony fretboard to shape a warm and full foundation with a bright edge. All of this is translated by a pair of a Brute Force humbuckers, courtesy of Bare Knuckle, so you're guaranteed more than enough power to back up distortions, and more than enough clarity to pull the naturally rich character of this instrument to the forefront. Meanwhile, a coil-tap switch can be flipped to unleash single-coil-style shimmer, finishing a truly versatile set of tonal profiles.

Finished with exacting detail, the RGR5221 bears striking looks alongside astonishing playing comfort. The Super Wizard HP neck sits snug in the hand while the set of Prestige Fret Edge treated frets accommodate agile note navigation; the mounted Gibraltar Standard II bridge has been consciously designed to provide a comfy resting place for palm-muting, while ensuring stability and optimum resonant transfer; and fast tuning and string changes are assured by a set of Gotoh machine heads.
