General
The sound of the Ibanez RGD7UC-ISH comes with a blow just as heavy as a right uppercut. This 7-string RGD7UC electric guitar belongs to the Japanese Prestige series and has only one thing in mind: rough metal. As such, its matte black basswood body is equipped with a duo of hand-wound Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers, making it ready to take on the heavier music styles. With just one volume knob and a 3-way pickup switch, this is a real workhorse without any frills. Thanks to the super-stable, low-profile Ibanez Tight-End R-7 bridge and high-quality Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners, the RGD7UC will always stay perfectly in tune, even at the lowest tunings.
Ibanez RGD7UC Prestige Uppercut: metal machine
The RGD7UC is Ibanez's ultimate metal machine. Drop-down tuning this guitar requires a specifically designed response that you won't find on 'regular' guitars. In order to optimise the rich, fat sound that produces extra low tunings, the neck has been elongated by one inch to measure a scale of 26.5 inches. Despite the extra string, this 5-piece maple/wenge neck is still very comfortable to play for fast solo parts. The neck of the RGD7UC has been reinforced with KTS titanium rods so that it remains stable and straight regardless of temperature or humidity. Subsequently, the extra deep, bevelled cutaways offer optimal access to the highest notes.
About the Prestige series
Ibanez's Prestige series is characterised by precision, performance and playability. The combination of high-tech production techniques and genuine Japanese craftsmanship, innovative designs and construction, plus the input of ideas and suggestions of musicians from all over the world, are the cornerstones of the tested Prestige production process. When you buy the Ibanez RGD7UC-ISH Prestige Uppercut, you know you've put your hands on an instrument of the highest quality.
