General
The JS series is the entry-level series of Jackson Guitars and consists of an extensive collection of affordable electric bass guitars and guitars of an exceptional quality. This 7-string guitar, with Dinky body and bolt-on neck, is no exception. Mounted with two Jackson humbucker pickups and a string-through-body bridge, this high-grade axe is perfect for fans of faster and rougher playing but have a limited budget.
JS22-7 Dinky: The Wood
The basswood body of the JS22-7 is just a bit smaller than the famous ST model but still has that characteristic double cutaway and produces a beautiful, warm tone and great sustain. The neck is bolted onto the body and is made of maple while the fretboard is made of amaranth and features 24 jumbo frets and the classic Jackson shark fin inlays. The beautiful matte black varnish and black hardware give this guitar a serene, pleasant appearance.
Seven Strings
The most striking thing about the JS22-7 Dinky are the seven strings and the low B, which gives it an extra heavy, full sound. The two Jackson High Output 7 String Humbucker pickups together provide a great balanced sound that can be adjusted via a 3-way pickup switch, a control knob and a tone knob.

Humbuckers klinken goed zowel laag en hoog. De pickups zijn niet te "hot" waardoor clean geluiden nog vrij goed te doen zijn. Tuners werken ook goed. Enkel heb ik een setje iets dikkere snaren erop gezet waardoor drop A tuning lekker stabiel blijft.
Voor deze prijs eigenljjk een zeer goede gitaar.
