This Jackson may come at a very budget-friendly price, it's still a Jackson, thank you very much. This is a true Jackson, with the Jackson sound, feel and looks. The shiny deep blue colour of the Jackson JS22 Dinky Metallic Blue is a real eye-catcher. In contrast to the JS11 and the JS12, the JS22 has sharkfin inlays, an arched top and bindings along the neck and headstock. Just like the JS12, this JS22 also has 24 jumbo frets for a more comfortable range per string.
The sound of the JS22 Dinky
Nothing bad can be said about the sound, especially considering the price of this guitar. The neck is made of maple and has an amaranth fretboard, which results in a tight attack and a generally bright tone. This model also provides plenty of warmth. As its body is made of basswood, you get a warm sound that particularly stands out in the mid tones. These mid tones are vital to this guitar’s timbre, and are sure to bring a smile to any shredder’s face. The two humbuckers (neck and bridge) provide you with three options and the tone and volume controls complete the sound palette.
