In 2013, the affordable JS Series by Jackson got a complete makeover. As a result, the JS32T Kelly now features black-coloured hardware so that it becomes even clearer that this is in fact a metal machine. The fretboard as well as the sharp headstock have been decorated with white bindings which makes this version look more luxurious than its more expensive siblings. The JS32T Kelly is also armed with a set of high-output ceramic humbucker pickups in Zebra style for rougher chords and solos.
Graphite-reinforced neck
The guitars from the JS Series now also have an improved neck. The neck of the Jackson JS32T Kelly has been reinforced with graphite to make it stronger and more stable than ever before. Naturally, the 24-fret rosewood fretboard features the typical Jackson shark fin inlays. The body is made of basswood which is a lightweight type of wood and produces a tight sound with clearly defined mids. This means that even with lots of distortion, you'll be able to cut through the mix.
Compound-radius fretboard
The fretboard of the JS32T Kelly has a compound radius. This means that the fretboard is rounder near the lower positions, and flattens as you move towards the body. As a result, you'll be able to comfortably play low open chords and barre chords. You’ll also find that, even with a super low action, you’ll still be able to bend the strings at higher positions easily without any buzzing or loss of notes.
