General

The Jackson Rhoads is certainly a striking model with its asymmetrical V shape and pointed, slanting headstock. This Pro Rhoads RR stands out even more with its lovely Snow White finish that would look outstanding on any stage. The chrome hardware, including a Floyd Rose FRT-O1000 tremolo bridge and a pick guard, enhance the look further still. If all that's not enough, then surely the familiar sharkfin markings on the neck made from Aluminoid will catch the attention.

Pro Rhoads RR Snow White: full sound

The Jackson Pro Rhoads has a mahogany body and a maple neck. There'd be no point in having a guitar that looks this good, of course, if it didn't have the sound to match. Thanks to the neck-through construction you can count on excellent sustain and unlimited access to the higher frets. Two passive Seymour Duncan humbuckers give you everything from warm clean tones to heavy distortion. Like almost all Jacksons, this model also features a compound fretboard radius for optimal playability. Completing the look of this outstanding guitar is an ebony fretboard that adds extra clarity to the overall sound.

Pro Series: top-quality instruments.

Jackson Guitars originated in 1980, when talented young guitarist Randy Rhoads approached Wayne Charvel - then the owner of Charvel's Guitar Repair shop - with an idea for an innovative V model. In collaboration with Tim Wilson and Mike Shannon, the Concorde was created. This guitar was so different from the other instruments Charvel was issuing at the time, that guitar builder Grover Jackson decided to introduce them under his own name. Thanks to their stylish designs, fast necks and powerful sound, Jackson guitars are perfect for hard rock and metal. The Pro Series follows many of the specifications of the top models from Jackson's USA series but at a more affordable price.

NAMM 2016: Jackson Spoils Shredders and Metal Heads

Thursday 21 January 2016

During the NAMM show in Anaheim, California, it's not uncommon for guitar manufacturers to introduce new models and finishes. This year, Jackson has released an entire new series under the name Monarkh. The Monarkh guitars were inspired by the famous Les Paul, but offer true shredders and metal heads even more options. Tradition meets modern standards!
