General
Every influential guitarist deserves their own signature model, and as such, Jackson award Marty Friedman with the Jackson MF-1 Signature. Known as the man behind the Megadeth sound, Friedman's prowess is honoured by this Pro Seriess model complete with a tight 24.75 inch scale length, a mahogany body with a securely set-in mahogany neck, and an ebony fretboard with a 12-inch radius that's been loaded with a set of 22 jumbo frets to support a lighter touch when weaving riffs and leads. The sides and back of the body and neck have been dipped in gloss black while the top has been finished with a unique 'cracked mirror' texture in a lush purple framed by a white/abalone/white binding.
Marty Friedman EMG Pickups for a Rich Tonal Spectrum
Combining forces with the eminent developers, EMG, Friedman designed his own set of signature pickups to ensure a set-up able to sing, squeal, and scream at will. The result is tweaked and blended via pair of volume and tone pots per pickup and a three-way toggle switch, while perfect intonation and sweet, unending sustain is provided by the Tune-O-Matic bridge and fixed tailpiece. Every bit of hardware has been finished in black, while elegant detailing of the pointed headstock has been finished with an angular splash of purple to accent the body. Pure style.
