General
It's a legendary phenomenon, the Rhandy Rhoads with offset V body. It will truly captivate you, whether you're a fan of heavy music styles or not. This Jackson RRT-5 is a modern version of that model. It has a rugged solid body made of alder that's combined with an alder neck that's been integrated in the body by means of a neck-through construction. The guitar has no real heel and its body won't get in the way of your solos around the 22nd fret. This is perfect for fast-playing guitarists.
Jackson RRT-5: ebony fretboard & strings-through-body
There is more, though. For instance, the fretboard is made of ebony which brings out the shark fin inlays beautifully, but it also provides a tighter sound with more trebles. Another feature is the compensated strings-through-body bridge, with adjustable saddles, made by Jackson themselves. Because of the string-through construction, the strings connect optimally with the body, for maximum tone and sustain. It also doesn't require a recess, like a tremolo bridge does, allowing the alder wood to resonate freely for a powerful sound!
Seymour Duncan JB & '59
Its appearance might raise some expectations and in order to live up to them, the Jackson RRT-5 has two Seymour Duncan humbuckers. And they surely deliver. The well-known SD JB humbucker is mounted at the bridge and offers an exquisite midrange with a high output. The '59 humbucker at the neck is more vintage-oriented and provides a clean yet sparkly sound, that is full on at a high distortion level. The three-way switch, volume and tone controls take care of the rest. The RRT-5 has a Gloss Black finish and gold-coloured hardware, including machine heads. It's a treat for the eyes, ears and guitarist's hands.
