Good pickups define an electric guitar's capacities. The RRXMG has two active humbuckers on board. The EMG 85 at the bridge is known for its warm, smooth sound while the EMG 81 at the neck provides a large dose of power if you want that 'extra push over the cliff'. With the pickup switch you can choose whether you want to use them together or separately and you also have volume and tone control at your disposal. Another feature is the high-quality Floyd Rose Special bridge that was based on the Original Floyd Rose. Materials and construction
The body of the RRXMG is made of basswood, a wood type that's an excellent match with this hardrock-oriented Jackson RRXMG. Mid frequencies are clearly audible and the deep, growling resonance of the body perfectly matches the powerful active EMG pickups. It also has great sustain characteristics. The maple neck has a rosewood compound radius-fretboard with 24 jumbo frets. As a result, you can easily and comfortably play chords and solos high up the neck. With the neck-through construction, the transition from the neck to the body is smooth so your hands are not hindered when you want to reach the 24th fret to play a solo.
