General
With its fusion of sound and durability, this Jackson USA Select B8 (Au Natural) lifts eight-string metal to a whole new level. Its looks will also stun you as it has a carefully finished arched body, fitted with a beautiful natural-coloured top made of flamed maple. Another striking feature is that this extra long baritone model feels very stable. This is due to the exceptionally strong neck made of quartersawn wood and its fixed, one-piece bridge.
DiMarzio pickups in an alder body
The USA Select B8 features unequalled DiMarzio D Activator pickups at the middle of the body. This is a pair of passive pickups with lots of headroom and a rich sound, but they also have the very tight and strong character of active pickups. These pickups can do their jobs properly thanks to the basis on which they are mounted, namely an alder body. Its powerful, balanced resonance beautifully matches the strong trebles of the maple top.
