The Jackson USA Select B8 (Walnut Stain) is the epitome of eight-string quality which means that serious metal fans don't have to think twice about purchasing one. This extra long baritone-model combines a wide range with a huge dose of reliability, durability and, above all, sound. Firstly, this guitar was fitted with an ultra stable, quartersawn neck and a headstrong bridge made from one piece. Secondly, it has a beautiful brown, flamed maple top.
A full and expressive eight-string
The basic sound is produced by the combination of full, balanced resonating alder body, the bright-sounding ebony fretboard and the clear-sounding maple top. Thanks to the high-quality strings-through-body bridge, the sound transfer from string to body is perfect and guarantees an extra-direct sound and a longer sustain. If you're a real connoisseur, you've probably already noticed the D Activator pickups. These pickups are passive but have the tight sound of active pickups, combined with a nice portion of headroom.
