The Hellraiser Special C-1 is a sleek-looking, well-built guitar by Schecter. It's the sibling of the 'normal' Hellraiser and comes with a number of great features that include a mahogany body, 24 jumbo frets and a couple of active EMG humbuckers. This rocking axe is made for metal music and caters to fast-playing guitarists - at a very affordable price. You will rarely see a proper metal axe at such a low price. It is a strong combination of looks, playing comfort and tonal quality.

Thanks to its mahogany body, this Hellraiser offers a warm, full tone that is perfect for bringing out the mids and bass sounds. The maple top has a beautiful Black Cherry lacquer, that leaves the wood grain visible. The 3-part neck is made of mahogany and features an Ultra Access heel for a smooth neck to body transition, allowing for effortless playing on the highest frets.

Pickups

Pickup-wise, there's nothing left to be desired, as the EMG 81 (at the bridge) and the EMG 85 (neck) active humbuckers are sure to please even more experienced guitarists. They have a highly defined sound, even during ferocious playing and fast solos. The guitar has plenty of headroom and respectable sustain, thanks in part to the strings-thru-body construction and mahogany body. Lastly, the controls on this guitar comprise a volume and a tone knob, as well as a 3-way pickup switch.
