Even more transcendental than the hallowed offset models of the Squier Paranormal Series, the Jazzmaster XII features a vintage hockey stick headstock and two Fender Designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups that open up a portal to a dimension full of shimmering twelve-string sounds, all of which can be simply summoned via the 3-way pickup switch, a single volume control, and a single tone pot.

The Paranormal Jazzmaster XII: For Unearthly Inspiration

Sticking to proven specs, Squier have outfitted the Jazzmaster XII with a lightweight poplar body and a bolt-on maple neck. To help the single-action truss rod maintain stability, the neck has been thoughtfully reinforced with graphite rods. It also features a comfy C-profile and a classic 1.6875-inch nut to ease in guitarists that are used to the feel of a six-string. Polished off with an XII String Retainer and a fully adjustable, 12-saddle hardtail bridge, this Paranormal Jazzmaster is wholly equipped to inspire brilliantly abnormal licks.

My first 12-string. Needed a tun-up out of the box, and whilst I'd been warned about the horrors of tuning a 12-string, it went really well. Love the Lake Placid Blue finish. Opened a new range of sounds and responds well to backing off the controls (volume and tone) for widening the range of sounds it can make. Doesn't look too comfortable on the guitar stand I've got here due to the offset shape, so I am going to buy a wider based stand for it at some point. Would thoroughly recommend if you fancy a 12-string.

This guitar was described as B stock and as such was significantly below full price. However I can’t find any fault with it. I’ve purchased “new” items from music retailers before that have obviously been out of their packaging but apparently not in this case. An absolute bargain so thanks Bax! The only thing that could have been improved would have been if Parcelforce could give a smaller delivery time window than a whole day (dpd specify a one hour window for example) or the option to deliver to a post office. Apart from that, perfect. Thank you.
