Based on an off-the-wall Fender guitar, the Squier Paranormal Series Strat-O-Sonic has the same 24.75-inch scale length as the exalted DVII but comes at a much more modest price. Built using a Stratocaster body made of okoume, this revived electric guitar comes with a compensated wrap-around bridge, a bolt-on C-profile maple neck and a perfectly matching, 12-inch fretboard radius for dependable tuning stability, masses of playing comfort and, of course, an immediately trusty feel.

The Strat-O-Sonic: Flexible Alnico Soapbar Single-Coils

The slightly punchy, mid-rich core sound of this Squier-made Strat-O-Sonic is amplified by two Fender-designed alnico soapbar single-coils, which offer ample definition while shaping richer tone than regular single-coil pickups. On top of that, you're looking at a push-pull volume pot that toggles between series and parallel mode as well as a push-pull tone pot that toggles between in-phase and out-of-phase sound, giving you more than enough options to sculpt signature tone.
