The Squier '51 has returned as part of the Vintage Modified series, completely in line with the original guitar from the first decade of this century, and with the same tonal characteristics. The Candy Apple Red Squier Vintage Modified '51 packs a powerful single-coil/humbucker configuration, beautiful knurled chrome dome knobs and a push-pull tap on the master volume knob. It is more affordable than the famous Fender Stratocaster and is excellently suited for starting guitarists, as well as more experienced musicians with a smaller budget.

Squier Vintage Modified '51 Stratocaster CAR: basswood body

This attractively priced guitar has a basswood body and a maple C-shape neck with satin-gloss finish and a 21-fret maple fretboard. One of the most special features of this version of the famous Stratocaster is that the tone-control knob has been replaced with a knurled chrome dome rotary pickup switch. This pickup switch allows you to choose between three positions of the pickup configuration. The - also knurled - master volume knob is a bit special, as it works via a push-pull principle to choose between the coils of the bridge pickup - you can alternate between the full humbucker or just the inner coil for the sound of a single-coil bridge pickup. Additionally, this Squier Vintage Modified '39 Stratocaster features a single-layer white pickguard and a six-saddle hardtail bridge.
