General

The Godin Multiac Nylon is an undeniably unique instrument. This nylon-string, classical guitar is fitted with electronics that faithfully amplify its pure acoustic sound, uncoloured by the built-in preamp. A three-band EQ is included to refine the amplified sound but what truly raises this guitar above the rest is the Synth Access Input. This is a hexaphonic pickup that registers the signal from each individual string, converts it into MIDI and spits out synth sound. As such, the Multiac can literally be turned into something like a Roland GR-55GK synth. To achieve this with other instruments, you would need to install an extra MIDI-pickup. Here, you get a stunning nylon stringed acoustic guitar and MIDI guitar in one.

The Multiac Nylon from Godin combines devoted traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. This guitar has a 25.5" scale length with a broad 48.26mm nut and a body shape that's a little slimmer than that of a grand concert model, for a snug feel that will even make electric guitarists feel at home. Wrote the following about Godin Multiac Nylon Natural HG Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Zat al enige tijd te twijfelen of ik de Godin Multiac ASC Slim Nylon gitaar zou kopen, omdat deze gunstiger geprijsd was. Maar ik was toch bang dat die smalle hals mij niet zou bevallen. Tijdens de Black Friday kwam de prijs van de Godin Multiac Nylon Natural HG toch wel in de buurt van de Godin Multiac ASC Slim. Geen moment getwijfeld en hem meteen besteld. Daar heb ik geen moment spijt van gehad, wat een schitterende veelzijdige gitaar is dit.
De hals voelt zeer prettig aan en de bespeelbaarheid is erg fijn. De afwerking van deze gitaar is subliem.
De klankkast is erg dun, zonder versterker heeft de gitaar niet het volume van een volledige concertgitaar, maar het voordeel hiervan is dat je er op elk moment van de dag mee kunt oefenen, zonder dat buren er last van hebben.
Aangesloten op een versterker begint deze gitaar echter pas echt te schitteren, twee onafhankelijke pickups en outputs (een standaard jack en een 13-pins) maken het mogelijk om de output naar wens te variëren. Ik ben erg enthousiast over deze gitaar in combinatie met de Roland GR-55 gitaarsynthesizer.
De LR Baggs pickups doen het geweldig in combinatie met de Roland GR-55 en zijn de geluidsmogelijkheden bijna eindeloos.
Goedkoop is deze gitaar zeker niet, maar naar mijn mening zeker zijn geld waard.
