The uniquely finished Fender Newporter Player grants intermediate and beginner players access to an electro-acoustic with a slimmer body than a dreadnought and a C-profile, electric-guitar style maple neck. So, if you're more familiar with the neck of a Strat than an acoustic guitar, this model offers an incredibly manageable transition, especially since the back has been given a satin-gloss finish to enhance the playing comfort even further, while the smaller body shape has an immediately snug and controlled feel.

The Fender Newporter Player: Resonant Wood

The body starts with a solid Sitka spruce soundboard supported by a mahogany back and sides to offer a rich acoustic sound with an added layer of warmth and a level of response that gives excellent presence to your playing dynamics. The mounted NuBone saddle and nut are GraphTech-made and maintain the balance of the overall sound which, despite the dimensions of this guitar, packs more than enough volume and lush overtones. To amplify the sound of the Newporter Player with consistent accuracy, Fender has fitted the Fender/Fishman-developed FLEX System preamp and piezo pickup.
