Part of the Sigma Guitars SG Series, the SDM-SG5 offers the grand feel and sound of an all-solid dreadnought decked out in a polished gloss finish. The specially-selected Sitka spruce soundboard and the mahogany back and sides of the D-14 Fret body are a classic recipe for enhanced resonance and a remarkably rich acoustic foundation sound full of sweet, woody trebles, which in this case are accurately captured by the L.R. Baggs EAS-VTC preamp and can be effortlessly refined via the fitted volume and tone control.

The SDM-SG5: Low-Profile Neck and Nice-and-Short Scale Length

Besides a classic body shape and tight finish, the Sigma SDM-SG5 boasts a low-profile neck that combines with a relatively short 24.75-inch scale length for increased playing comfort and a slightly lower string tension. Add that to the traditional styling, the stable, self-lubricating Grover tuners and the included SSC-D soft case, and you've got everything you could ever want from a trusty stage partner.

Très Belle et bonne guitare acoustique. Une très agréable surprise !!
Le son est bien équilibré et pourtant les cordes d'Addario ne sont en général pas à mon gout. je les laisse pour les tester un certain temps puis je mettrais des Martin bronze et si la différence en vaut la peine, je mettrai un nouvel avis. Le grain est proche (dans mes souvenirs) de celui de ce même modèle de chez Gibson. Différent du grain de mes "Martin" que j'adore !! Cette Sigma SDM-SG5 m'offre un nouvel horizon musical .. et j'adore !!
Côté réglages, j'ajusterai les sillets pour un confort de jeu bien qu'elle soit déjà très bien avec les réglages usine.
Mais avant, je testerai le son sur ampli pour le système électro-acoustique ( je n'aime pas du tout le son "piezzo") et le retirerai certainement à moins d'avoir une autre agréable bonne surprise !! Je pense que le son en acoustique sans le système électro sera bien meilleur.
Dernier petit point, le vernis mériterai d'être un peu plus fin bien qu'il ne soit pas épais non plus.
Conclusion : côté esthétique, elle est bien finie et magnifique, la plaque de protection sur la table avec le colibri est de toute beauté. Le son sortie usine est déjà excellent .. et pourtant, elle est encore en rodage.
