The A5R ARE from Yamaha's A series is a high-quality electro-acoustic steel-string made in Japan. It's an all-solid guitar that's been treated with the brand's patented A.R.E. process to make it sound like a genuine vintage instrument. The result is a more dynamic acoustic sound with a rich palette of overtones. The scalloped bracing ensures that the solid spruce top can resonate freely, which contributes to the overall volume. In order to play chords and melodies smoothly and quickly, the mahogany neck features a comfortable profile and a relatively flat fretboard radius.
For great tuning stability, this electro-acoustic Yamaha features open-gear machine heads by the well-known brand Gotoh as well as a string nut and bridge by TUSQ. If you want a piëzo sound that cuts through the mix like butter, or you prefer the warm tone of a steel-string that's been recorded with a classic condenser mic? Both are possible with Yamaha's innovative System71 preamp with an SRT2 and an SRT piëzo pickup. You can utilise either sound and blend them together as much as you like. The electro-acoustic A5R ARE comes complete with a matching Yamaha hard-shell case.
