The AC5R ARE is a Concert guitar by Yamaha made with unparalleled Japanese quality. It's an electro-acoustic steel-string made of solid wood types as the top is made of spruce while the sides and back are made of rosewood. This delivers a sublime acoustic sound with a hint of creamy warmth and complex harmonious overtones. The balanced sound can be used in a wide variety of musical genres. Whether you play with or without a plectrum, the scalloped bracing underneath the solid spruce top adds extra resonance and volume. To preserve this steel-string Yamaha Concert guitar, you can store it in the included robust, black case.

AC5R ARE: modern construction with a vintage vibe

Besides having all the advantages of a modern construction, this Yamaha steel-string also carries an unmistakable vintage vibe in look, feel, and sound. The body has a Vintage Natural finish and the neck has a satin-gloss lacquer for enhanced playing comfort that is similar to a worn flat-top. The patented A.R.E process reduces the humidity of the spruce top to an amount normally found in truly vintage guitars, and this unique tone is then amplified by means of a System71 preamp with SRT piëzo pickup. For even more sound options, you can add simulated condenser mic simulations to the piëzo sound. In short, this is a guitar that offers great quality and versatility!

A beautiful instrument that plays more like a guitar you'd pay two or three times as much for. Fits my hands perfectly and is ideal for fingerpicking. And I just know the sound is going to get even better as the guitar matures.
