While this all-solid Masterbilt model shares a lot of similarities with its 6-string sibling, it naturally boasts that majestic twelve-string sound, in this case backed up by a square-shouldered dreadnought body. That said, players that favour a sitka spruce top combined with a mahogany body and a rounded C-profile neck will be happy to hear the beautifully rich and warm sound of this steel-string guitar. To guarantee maximum acoustic transfer, Epiphone have even installed a bone string nut and bridge saddle.
The preamp system of the Masterbilt Hummingbird 12 String comes from acclaimed maker Fishman and includes an under-saddle piezo pickup that sends sound to a Sonicore preamp, which can then be quickly and effortlessly dialled in before you start humming rich chords. Brilliantly authentic, this acoustic Epiphone guitar features the classic scratchplate with drawings of a hummingbird, a butterfly and bower plants and has been finished with split parallelogram inlays, a reverse belly bridge and set-in crown at the headstock.
