General

American guitar manufacturer Guild has expanded its Westerly Series with the OM-240E Natural: an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar with a snug and shapely triple-O (orchestra) body. Equipped with an AP-1 preamp, this gorgeous guitar rightfully represents Guild's superior sound. The resonance chamber is slightly smaller than that of a dreadnought and shapes a tighter, more direct foundation tone. While ideal for fingerpicking styles, any full chords won't get washed out by the mix either.

The Guild OM-240E Natural: Arched Back

Responsible for the sound of this Guild OM-240E Natural is a solid Canadian sitka spruce top; a light-coloured high-density wood that brings forth a warm, articulated and sparkling sound with lots of volume to compensate for the lack of the deeper lows of a dreadnought model. The result is a brilliantly balanced foundation sound across the entire frequency range, literally backed by a '50s-style arched back for enhanced projection and longer-lasting sustain.

The Guild Westerly Collection

Guild have been building high-quality instruments since 1953, and their acoustic guitars hark back to earlier, vintage models. Each of the steel-string guitars in their Westerly series feature solid woods and are equipped with a number of tasteful, luxurious details. What's more, the headstock is adorned with a traditional pearloid Guild emblem inlay and all of the guitars feature a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The Westerly series offers high-grade acoustic instruments at attainable prices and each guitar comes with a compatible Guild Polyfoam case.

An absolutely brilliant guitar extremely high quality considering the low price. Guild guitars are now my favourite after making this purchase and I’ve made this a keeper for life. Perfect guitar to go busk and I would happily say that this guitar is definitely for a performer, perhaps even perfect for concerts.
