General
The versatile Alesis CompactKit 7 electronic tabletop drum kit is ideal for drummers who are just starting out. It features seven velocity-sensitive pads that can be played with sticks or your hands. It also features two pedals for the hi-hat and bass drum. An LED display shows you the settings of the selected tracks and samples and there's an LED indicator on each pad. The USB MIDI output makes it possible to use the CompactKit 7 as a virtual instrument in your DAW.
Alesis CompactKit 7: Many Different Sounds
The CompactKit 7 is equipped with 256 percussion samples that can be assigned to any of the seven pads. There are also 45 pre-programmed kits available as well as space for 5 user kits. Play along with any of the 100 built-in tracks in various styles and use the metronome to tighten up your beats.
Recording Function
This tabletop kit also has a self-recording option so you can save sessions on the unit itself. Connect the CompactKit 7 to the mains using the included power adapter or insert six batteries and use it anywhere you want! As well as integrated speakers, it also has a headphone output.

De pads zijn gevoelig en er is zelfs een "hand percussion" optie die het mogelijk maakt om met de handen te drummen. Er zijn een hele hoop verschillende kits en sounds om uit te kiezen, er zit wel iets bij voor iedereen! De foot triggers (hi hat en kick/bass drum) schuiven inderdaad wel weg onder de voeten, daar moet ik nog even een oplossing voor zoeken.Verder; super! Een echte aanrader voor de beginnende drummer die niet alle ruimte heeft voor een akoestische set (en die zijn/haar buren niet tot last wil zijn). Ik wil natuurlijk uiteindelijk graag een akoestische set maar tot die tijd is dit een prima oplossing.
