The Alesis Crimson III Kit is a fully-fledged electronic drum kit that features BFD-based samples and mesh-head pads for convincingly realistic sound and an authentic playing feel. With over 40 ready-made kits to choose from, this e-kit supports virtually every style and, since you're getting mesh-heads instead of rubber pads, it's extra quiet. While the cymbal pads are a bit smaller than real cymbals, the 12" dual-zone hi-hat, the two 12" crashes and the 14" triple-zone ride still feel like the real thing.

The Alesis Crimson III Module

The Crimson III drum module not only includes 40 pre-compiled kits, but 40 custom kit slots that can also be filled using your own samples loaded in via the SD card slot. Almost all of the built-in drum samples come from the world-renowned BFD library so you're assured of high-quality sound, and you can pair your phone to stream your favourite tunes and backing tracks via Spotify and YouTube. Of course, you can also drum along to songs loaded in via an SD card (not included).

Pads and Hardware

The authentic playing feel of the Crimson III kit also stems from the fact that you can tweak the tension of the mesh-heads, which only makes sense since the average snare drumhead is much tighter than the average floor tom head. Besides pads and a drum module, Alesis include an extensive, four-legged drum rack, plus a separate snare drum stand so you can set up the included 12" dual-zone snare pad as preferred.
