A few decades ago, Casio's assortment offered a small number of sample keyboards. They became an instant success, because of the creative freedom they offered. No wonder the Casio CTK-2400 is once again equipped with a built-in sampler. For a very reasonable price, this keyboard offers an integrated microphone and a maximum sample length of 2 seconds. You can either record one long sample, or up to five short ones, and use them as individual sound elements, or as percussive building blocks for a backing rhythm.
CTK-2400: 400 AHL sounds
Of course the sampler is not the CTK-2400's only draw. The keyboard also offers a wide range of instrument presets - 400 to be precise. They are all brought to life by the advanced Casio AHL sound generator, ensuring high-grade results with natural characteristics. A comfortable 61-key keyboard provides you with all the room you need. The CTK-2400 can reproduce your performance in various ways: it's equipped with built-in speakers, but you can also opt for a pair of headphones or an external stereo system. For optimal musical expression, you can even connect a sustain pedal.
Styles, songs and Step-Up
With the Casio CTK-2400, you have plenty of backing styles to choose from. No fewer than 150 rhythms are at your disposal, including 20 special piano styles and 55 world music styles. For every song you want to play and every style you want to improvise in, this Casio has a suitable rhythm. There are even 110 practice songs to work with. Additionally, the CTK-2400 offers the Casio Step-Up lesson system, which teaches you how to play the keyboard and helps you hone your technique. It allows you to practise with either your left or your right hand, or with both hands at the same time. Thanks to the various educational features, you'll master melodies and chords in no time.

Het keyboard komt met een songbook (100 liedjes) en een ingebouwd systeempje dat alle liedjes afspeelt en laat zien welke noten/toetsen je moet indrukken zodat je mee kan spelen. Ideaal voor leren dus.
Het geluid van de keyboard is oké, niet mooi maar ook niet slecht. Heb het hiervoor ook niet gekocht dus vind het prima. Er zit ook een phones/output in, zodat je met je headset kan spelen. Zo kan ik in alle rust oefenen, zonder dat mijn huisgenoten er gek van worden.
Er zitten ook nog heel wat features op, zoals een microfoon. Hiermee kan je wat inspreken en dan record hij het, en kun je erna met de toetsen verschilllende tonen van je recording horen.
Al met al een prima keyboardje voor de prijs. Ik zou het vooral aanraden voor een absolute beginner.
