General
The Casio CTK-4400 is a great choice for beginners who are looking for a keyboard with all the key ingredients. This attractive silver/black model features a 61-key piano-style keyboard with a pleasantly light keyboard feel. The keys are velocity-sensitive, so you can add some real dynamics to the 600 sounds (pianos, organs, guitars, orchestra instruments, drums and more) the keyboard has to offer. Your performance is reproduced by two built-in speakers, but you can also plug in a pair of headphones. Add some reverb to add a spacious quality to your playing!
CTK-4400: automatic backing
Like a good keyboard should, the CTK-4400 features a number of automatic backing rhythms. No fewer than 180 rhythms are at your disposal, ranging from styles like pop, rock and jazz, to oriental and classical. They accompany the melodies you play with your right hand, based on the chords you play with your left hand. If you aren’t comfortable playing chords yet, you can simply opt for drums only, or activate the Casio Chord mode, which enables you to play the right chords based on the chord names you'll find above the keys. The CTK-4400's registration buttons, meanwhile, allow you to quickly store and access your favourite sound/rhythm/tempo combinations.
Pedal input, display and other features
As a true Casio product, the CTK-4400 comes with a number of interesting additional features. It has a pedal input, for instance, which allows for the use of a separately available sustain pedal. You'll be able to hold notes, just like a piano does. The keyboard's clear LCD display shows you the instrument you've chosen, the rhythm you have selected and the chord you're playing. Also at your disposal is a USB port, which enables you to exchange MIDI data with a sequencer (such as Cubase), and a built-in recorder, which allows you to make several, multi-layered recordings. Finally, the CTK-4400 offers 152 songs for inspiration, and an Auto Harmonize feature that adds matching harmonies to the melody you're playing.

Wat me als eerste opviel is dat ze intutief snapte hoe ze geluiden kon veranderen. Daarna volgenden al snel de ritmes en hoe je die met start-stop aan en uit kan zetten. Op het display zag ze het keyboard en de twee handen... Ze vroeg me meteen: "Is dit is wat die meneer speelt?"...
Het apparaat heeft een geweldige set geluiden aan boord die allemaal functioneel toegepast kunnen worden. Meer dan voldoende ritmes en styles. Geluiden kunnen gelayered worden, en spilts maken is ook een eitje.
Ja! Ik beveel dit instrument zeer zeker aan. Ik ben dat horloge al lang vergeten
