The SPL BiG [Studio] is an innovative device that can elevate the stereo image of any sound source to an insane level. Thanks to the unique way the signal is processed, no problems arise when the stereo signal is later merged to mono. Operation is simple: use the Range knob to select the frequency range in which the effect is to be applied. The Stage knob can be used to bring the previously selected range forward or backward in the stereo image. The Bigness knob determines the degree to which the effect is applied. Finally, there is a Bass Boost and there is the option of adding Tube Harmonics: this enriches the sound harmonically using an analogue electron tube.

Solid and high-quality components.

The SPL BiG [Studio] has a robust construction built from high-quality parts. The front panel is made of 4 mm thick aluminium with a black anodised finish. All knobs are turned from solid aluminium, giving a luxurious and smooth feel. The enclosure is otherwise steel and can be mounted in a 19-inch rack. There is a ground lift button that disconnects the enclosure's ground from the electronics' ground, to eliminate any ground loops. It features separate inputs for left and right, both with parallel balanced XLR and TRS jack connectors. The same is provided for the outputs, and all connectors are from Neutrik.
