High-grade etherCON network cables are often used for pro-audio, video and lighting networks. The NE8FDV chassis connector accommodates etherCON NE8MC or standard RJ45 plugs. This D-type connector has a commonly used size, which makes for easy panel mounting. Its rugged, metal housing lends it durability. This chassis connector is suited for vertical PCB panel mounting.

Dit chassisdeel is bedoeld om op een printplaat te monteren. Achteraf zag ik dat er ook een doorvoervariant te koop is, welke voor mijn installatie makkelijker toepasbaar was. Nu heb ik losse draadjes op de pinnetjes gesoldeerd en die afgeschermd met krimpkousjes.
Het werkt prima, de pinnetjes laten zich makkelijk solderen. Let echter wel op dat je de volgorde niet per ongeluk omkeert, want met omgekeerde volgorde kun je geen signaal verwerken!
