General

Inspired by old Buchla modules, the Behringer Abacus is not exactly a Eurorack module for inexperienced synth-operators. While the front panel doesn't give away too many clues, this module can do a lot, including dragging an LFO signal out to 25 minutes, slewing signals (making them smoother if you will), boosting as well as inverting input signals, and much more - if you know what you're doing that is.

Wrote the following about Behringer Abacus Eurorack Module

"In een ver verleden, de jaren 60, waren we al met Eurorack bezig."

Eurorack is a modular synthesizer format originally specified in 1995 by Doepfer Musikelektronik (zie wikipedia). De eerste A-100 modules zijn pas in 1996 op de markt gebracht (zie de Doepfer time table op de 'about us' pagina).

"De Behringer Abacus pakt z'n inspiratie van de genoemde Buchla-modules." Nee. De Behringer Abacus is een schaamteloze rip-off van de Make Noise Maths.
