If you're working with a modular system, a couple of effects can be a great addition. No wonder Roland's System-500 series includes an effects module that'll boost your sound to a great extent. The System-500 572 boasts a delightful 5-stage phase shifter, an analogue audio delay, a CV/gate delay and a basic LFO. The audio delay is not just a great echo effect, it's also a fantastic way of producing a chorus. Simply use the LFO, for instance. It has a regular and an inverted triangle output, allowing for many creative applications.

No matter what you do, the System-500 572 module's effects are guaranteed to add a nice touch to your sound. Once you really start experimenting, however, you'll be able to produce sounds you've never even heard before! Try routing its output to another module's input and you'll get the idea. How about hooking up the delay output to a MOD IN connector, for instance? The possibilities are virtually endless, especially if you have several of these effects modules in your setup. Try using the 572 effects module's LFO triangle output to modulate the module itself, and the inverted triangle output to modulate another, and you'll produce a great stereo effect. Unlike any other product, this modular system really challenges you to find out what else is possible.
