Xaoc Devices Koszalin eurorack module

The Xaoc Devices Koszalin is a eurorack module that might be a bit unusual for starters. It's a frequency shifter, and that's just not 'the most common effect on our planet. How does it work? A waveform like a sawtooth consists of multiple overtones, a bit like a collection of organ stops. The frequencies of those overtones are then always a whole factor relative to the pitch you play. So if your fundamental is 440 Hz, then your overtones are 440 * 2, 440 * 3, 440 * 4, 440 * 5 etc. What a frequency shifter does is not adjust these ratios as a whole (1,2,3,4,5 would become 2,4,6,8,10 an octave higher), but add or subtract something. Then you get (with a shift of '1') a series like 2,3,4,5,6, and with this, the original sawtooth ratios are completely gone to hell, which is exactly the fun of it. You get non-gangable timbres, not directly suitable for a trumpet sound, but perhaps for all kinds of bells. So the Koszalin is a module that does this, in stereo, with both shift up and shift down. It's not conventional directly, but somehow it's very fascinating!
