General
The Alesis iO Hub provides the missing link between an audio device and an iOS or USB connector. Simply adjust the input level of the two combined XLR/jack inputs, and connect the Hub to your computer or iOS device by means of a USB cable or via Apple's Lightning-USB connector.
Phantom power
As the iO Hub is equipped with phantom power, it is suitable for use with condenser microphones. The audio interface is powered via its USB or iOS connector, so it requires no additional power supply, such as an external adapter. If you're using the phantom power functionality of the Hub, however, you do need a 9V battery.
