General
The Orion32 HD by Antelope Audio is an impressive piece of technology for the studio. It's a USB 3.0/HDX audio interface and AD/DA converter of sublime quality, as we've come to expect from Antelope Audio. It's optimised for compatibility with Pro Tools HD, but will work with any DAW software. By means of HDX (Pro Tools HD) or USB 3.0, you can stream no fewer than 64 audio channels at once at 192 kHz. It also enables connectivity with external preamps or interfaces by means of ADAT, MADI, S/PDIF and DB25. Of course, FPGA is also included, which means you can use realistic, authentic-sounding internal effects directly while monitoring.
Detailed monitoring
The Orion32 HD is equipped with a highly-acclaimed routing matrix software package that allows you to create and save independent monitor mixes. When you monitor with the Orion32 HD, you'll instantly notice how accurate and detailed your mix is. Each detail is so transparent that any problems in specific frequency ranges can be detected immediately. This is done by means of the Pure2 Mastering Converter, which is also found in other Antelope interfaces. The integrated FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) vintage effects can be applied directly to the monitor mix (or used as inserts in your DAW) in near-zero latency conditions, so say goodbye to audible delay!
Superior clocking engine
Antelope's Orion32 HD is driven by the well-known 64-bit clock technology you also find in Antelope Audio's high-level products. It features two Word Clock or Loopsync outputs, Word Clock or Loopsync inputs, and Antelope's 10M/10MX Atomic Clock inputs. These are extremely important when multiple digital devices are in use at the same time. The signal is kept stable and synced at all times, with crystal-clear audio as the result. Another handy feature is the eco-friendly housing, which doesn't have any fans, making it completely noiseless. Investing in expensive isolated chambers or ISO racks are no longer needed with the Orion 32 HD!
